Make The Best Use Of Your Industrial Training Phase

I remember my first campus interview wherein I was grilled on my industrial training experience. No doubt, the interview was grilling and I cleared it too, but this is when I realised the importance of industrial training.I still remember those days when I had to get up early and leave for my internship. I am saying this with a heavy heart because there was actually no encouragement or incentive for me to go every morning to work. This is what I thought in those days but not what I think today. Actually, I was not getting paid very well at that time. I was treated like an intern and therefore, my payment was really meagre to cover my food and travel expenses. Anyways, I completed my training as it was a compulsory part of our degree program. With a heavy heart, I learnt everything because there was no other option. But today, I know the importance of that learning. In fact, I am earning and making a luxury living for myself because of that training period only. I got a wonderful career break through my campus placement and it was all due to what I answered in my interview. The hard hitting industry exposure that I got during my training made me learn everything by heart. I narrated everything to the interviewers and they also knew that since I knew everything so much in advance and so well, I was readily absorbed by them. This is the best part about the industrial learning phase or the internship phase where you get to learn everything. You might forget the theory but you never forget the practical aspect.
This is why industry experts keep saying that always look for a training institute that can provide you an industry exposure along with theoretical course sessions.

Make The Best Use Of Your Summer Training Period

Summer training programs often fall into a lot of controversy. Many people believe that coaching institutes and companies usually take an undue advantage of young aspirants by making them work for no pay. While this is true to some extent, I still believe that even if somebody, or for that matter, if I am working somewhere for no cash, it is all adding up to my experience and learning. However, if somebody pays me for that, it is certainly good. And if I see companies around me or my friends who have had their summer training with large corporates, they have been paid for their internship, if nothing else. So, there is hardly any company that does not pay to its interns. And if there are a couple of them, it is an individual’s choice whether to join it or not. If you think that you just need to learn, without any pay, it might work for you and if you think that you also need to earn while you learn, you can try for another options. Isn’t’ it simple? So, as long as the company abides by the laws surrounding internship programs, those opportunities should not be written off.And just because some companies are taking advantage of interns does not mean that all internship programs are bad. People who know its value, they love to work for brands, even if the brands pay them some nominal amount for their travel expenses or so. I remember my summer internship experience with a reputed brand and that first work experience is what made mycareer. I still cherish it in my fond memories and not to forget the money that I got in return. As I complete my two-month training, I was reimbursed for my travel and food expenses and got a prestigious certificate as a reward for my hard work. So, just focus on your learning during your training and make the most out of it.
